Is Artificial Turf Dog Friendly?!?

Will my dog like turf? Will it get too hot? How is it to maintain with a dog?

There are a lot of questions dog lovers have, and why not! We love our dogs! Our customers have let us know that YES DOGS LOVE THEIR TURF! I personally have had Artificial Turf in my dog yard for 5 years and have found these answers:

-The turf does not get hot like sand on a beach, in fact my dog loves laying on it in the sun because it gets warm. But I did make sure to plant a tree for some shade if she so chooses to use it.

-My dog also loves rolling on it, not sure why. Maybe they just like the feel of it.

-Cleaning up my dog's "piles" is actually a lot easier than on natural grass. It sits on top of the plastic fibers and drys out and makes it super easy to rake right into the poop scooper.

-The turf itself is built on top of a rock drainage base so occasionally a sprinkler to rinse down the turf makes it smell as good as new.

-There are a lot of specialty advertised turf for pets specifically, but my dog in particular likes the softer ones just like a human picks because it feels better.

-The turf will not discolor where your dog urinates, no more dead spots in the backyard.

-And even the "zoomies" are not effected by the turf, she is still as fast as ever!

-Another added bonus is due to the thickness of the backing on the turf the rodent hunting seems to be an issue no longer on my list of worries.

Every dog is different and so are their owners, but overall Artificial Turf has been a big win with the furry members of my house!
